Bilingual Sports Reporter, Host, and Sports Content Creator Covering NYC and Global Sporting Events
I’m a bilingual sports reporter, host, and content creator based in New York City, telling stories that connect leagues, athletes, brands, and fans across cultures. I cover a wide range of sports; from soccer, baseball, and hockey to tennis, basketball, football, golf, and beyond; giving me the opportunity to work everywhere from local New York venues to some of the biggest international stages in sports.
My journey includes serving as the Spanish-language creator for the New York Mets, alongside collaborations across the industry with leagues, teams, media networks, and global brands. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on projects surrounding organizations such as the Premier League, CONCACAF Gold Cup, FIFA, and ESPN; including appearing in a commercial campaign connected to the New York Rangers; among many other events, partnerships, and storytelling opportunities along the way.
I’ve covered major global competitions including multiple editions of the US Open, Copa América, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the 2025 Ryder Cup, and covering the New York Knicks courtside. While maintaining ongoing coverage of Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League.
In New York, you’ll often find me Beyond editorial coverage, I collaborate with brands such as, Amazon, IBM, Michelob Ultra, Marriott and others to create bilingual, fan-focused content that brings audiences closer to the experience and culture of sport.
Because for me, sports storytelling has always been about connection as much as competition.
HOW I FOUND MY VOICEMY VOICE
My journey into sports media began while studying Journalism and Marketing at Brooklyn College, CUNY. During that time, I realized there were very few people in sports media who looked or sounded like me. As a bilingual Latina navigating two cultures, I saw firsthand how much representation matters — not just on the field, but behind the microphone.
Sports had always been my escape growing up. They created connection, community, and moments that brought people together, and I knew I wanted to help tell those stories for fans who didn’t always see themselves reflected in sports coverage.
I launched M.I Sports as a passion project, never imagining it would become my entry point into professional sports media. What started as simply showing up and creating quickly turned into opportunities to attend games, cover leagues, and connect with both English- and Spanish-speaking audiences through storytelling.
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I moved to New York City at 12 years old. Growing up between cultures shaped how I see the world and today, that perspective continues to influence how I approach storytelling across global sports communities.
And truthfully, I don’t have a favorite sport; whichever event I’m covering becomes my favorite in that moment.
BEYOND THE FIELDBEYOND THE FIELD
Outside of stadiums and arenas, discipline and consistency are a big part of who I am. I’ve practiced CrossFit for over 10 years, and it has taught me some of the lessons I carry into my career every day; resilience, accountability, and the importance of showing up even when motivation isn’t there. That mindset translates directly into sports media. Whether it’s early call times, long game days, travel schedules, or constant content creation, preparation and persistence are everything.
Beyond sports, writing has always been one of my greatest passions. Storytelling sits at the center of everything I do, and one of my long-term goals is to write a book sharing my personal journey and experiences along the way. Whether I’m training, traveling, covering an event, or creating content, I see myself as a lifelong storyteller; driven by curiosity, connection, and the belief that sports have the power to bring people together anywhere in the world.
